Not Just Learning—Leading.
Why Families Choose M.L.K.
Today’s families are looking for more than the basics—they’re seeking an education that prepares students for a future without borders. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership and Language Magnet Academy brings language to life through daily use and cultural connection. With Spanish, Mandarin, and American Sign Language woven into the learning experience, children develop communication skills, respect for others, and confidence. This early exposure to global perspectives opens doors and builds empathy, giving them a head start in a connected world.
Leadership
From the Start
This is learning with a purpose.
Our students don’t wait until high school to lead—they start now. Through civic engagement, public service, and character development, M.L.K. helps kids discover their voices and use them to inspire change. Confidence, integrity, and resilience are part of every lesson.
A School That
Feels Like Home
Learning thrives in partnership. When families, educators, and the community work together, students flourish. Supportive classrooms, inclusive values, and joyful experiences shape a culture where every child feels seen, safe, and celebrated.

Rooted in Community
Located in the heart of downtown Little Rock, our campus is rich in history and purpose. Initially built in 1993, the school was renamed in 2023 to reflect its inspiring new focus on public service and global learning, honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Adjacent to the playground, students enjoy access to a beautiful city park we’ve proudly adopted as part of our school community.
